Military exercises conducted by the United States and South Korea on the Korean Peninsula, indicate a serious phase of confrontation in the region, the North Korean Foreign Ministry said, reports Tsat.
“Due to large-scale military exercises that the United States and their satellites conduct almost every day this year, the Korean peninsula is turned into a hot point, where military tension is the highest in the world, and the situation in the region has become even more serious”, – quotes the agency statement.
We are talking about the HOGUK exercises in October to maneuver in South Korea and about the Vigilant Storm (“Vigilant Storm” that began together with the United States). Pyongyang believes that the latter are especially “aggressive”, and among the working goals – “strike on the strategic objects of the DPRK during the war on the Korean Peninsula.”
The maneuvers in the region, confident in North Korea this year, confirm that “the US war script against the DPRK has reached the final stage.”
In this regard, Pyongyang warned Washington that the latter should be ready to “pay an equal price in case of trying to use force against the DPRK.” North Korea uses “all the necessary steps to protect sovereignty”, warned the Foreign Ministry and called on the United States to abandon the exercises.
Vigilant Storm exercises started on the eve of October 31, and will last until November 4. These are the first large -scale maneuvers of the United States and South Korea in the air in almost five years. More than 240 aircraft are involved in them, including the advanced American F-35A invisible fighters. The exercises are carried out against the background of the DPRK of missile launches and fears that she can conduct a nuclear test.
