In Norway, the government has developed a bill according to which at least 40 percent of members of the board of large and medium -sized companies should be represented by women.
The content of the bill was voiced at a press conference by the Minister of Trade and Industry of Norway, Yang Christian Vestre.
“Norway has become the first country in the world to take a step in this direction,” the minister emphasized, whose words are quoted by Bloomberg.
The new bill can cover 20 thousand companies of large and medium -sized businesses.
In the case of the approval of the bill by 2028, at least 40 percent of members of the Norwegian companies will be women.
