“Now is not time to bargain”: Zelensky criticized Germany

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky before the conference on military assistance to his country in Ramstein again called for the main combat tanks of Leopard and in this regard criticized the Government of Germany.

On the air of the German ARD television channel, he said that he did not consider Berlin the desire to navigate in the supply of weapons to other countries, and not on his own possibilities.

“Now is not the time to bargain, but time to survive. We must survive,” the television channel quotes his words.

According to Zelensky, the West wants to conduct discussions for another six months, while people die every day in Ukraine. He assured that Ukraine is defending and does not plan to attack Russia. “These Leopard tanks will not travel around the Russian Federation. We defend us,” he added.

Earlier on Thursday, January 19, the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany could not vote on the issue of Kyiv’s supply of 6 Leopard tanks proposed by the Opposition Block of the CDU/CSS. Representatives of the ruling coalition insisted that this issue be submitted to the relevant committees of the parliament. The new Minister of Defense of Germany Boris Pistorius restrainedly spoke on the possible supply of Leopard tanks.
