Numan Kurtulmush was elected chairman of Turkish parliament

In the parliament of Turkey on Wednesday, June 7, elections of the chairman of the legislative body of the country of the 28th convocation were held.

In the third round of voting in the General Assembly of the Great National Assembly of Turkey, 584 deputies voted.

Candidate of speakers from the ruling party (AKP) Numan Kurtulmush was elected chairman of the great national assembly of Turkey, having received 321 votes.

Kurtulmush is an experienced politician. At one time, he held the posts of a spokesman for the government, deputy prime minister, Minister of Culture and Tourism.

Numan Kurtulmush is married, has three children.
