The number of those who died as a result of an earthquake in Morocco increased to 2 thousand 862 people, and the number of wounded – up to 2 thousand 562.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Morocco shared new information about the earthquake that occurred on September 8th.

The ministry’s statement says that the number of magnitude who died as a result of an earthquake of magnitude 7, the epicenter of which was the El -Khuz area in Marrakesh, increased to 2 thousand 862, and the number of wounded – up to 2 thousand 562.

Moroccan media reported that the earthquake that occurred on September 8 at 23.10 local time was felt in the capital of the country Rabat, Casablanca, Meknes, Agadire and Fes.

Most of the victims are recorded in the regions of al-House, Tarudant, Shivawa, Varzazat, Marrakesh, Azila, Agadir, Casablanca and Yusifiye.

In the disaster zone, search and rescue work continues. Together with the forces of civil defense, the military were attracted.
