Number of victims of poisoning by surrogate alcohol in Iran increased to 13

In the city of Kerestzh (administrative center of the Alborz province) in Iran the number of victims of poisoning with surrogate alcohol increased to 13.

As, the ISNA news agency about the reference to the rector of the University of Medical Sciences Alborz Shekhram Seiyadi, out of 175 residents hospitalized over the past five days with a diagnosis of poisoning, three more people have died.

Iranian authorities on June 16 reported the death of ten out of 95 people hospitalized with symptoms of poisoning with fake alcoholic beverages.

The investigation was initiated to identify persons engaged in the spread of alcohol, within the framework of which six people were detained.
