OECD has increased forecast for growth of Turkish economy

The Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) increased the forecast of the growth of the global economy as the current year from 2.6 percent to 2.7 percent, and the growth in Turkey’s economic growth from 2.8 percent to 3.6 percent.

This is stated in the OECD report containing forecasts for 2023 and 2024

OECR predicts that internal demand will still be the main lever of the economic growth of Turkey. The prognosis of Turkish economy to 2024 is also reduced from 3.8 percent to 3.7 percent.

The report predicts that inflation in Turkey in 2023 will be 44.8 percent, in 2024 – 40.8 percent, and the unemployment rate will be 10 percent this year and 9.9 percent in the following.
