Due to full-scale battles in Ukraine, the largest company for the production of Salt “Artemsol” stopped in Europe. The company is located in the city of Bakhmut, to which Russian troops came close. “Artemsol” was the main supplier of salt not only in Ukraine, but also in a dozen countries, including Azerbaijan.
Director of Artyemsol Enterprise Victor Yurin confirmed to reporters that the company has completely suspended the work.
“The enterprise does not work, it is idle, according to the order, until indefinite time. The shelling is constant, the administrative building was partially destroyed. There were direct hits in mines, material warehouse. The production process is impossible. We will not endanger people,” Yurin said.
According to him, the company was the largest company for salt mining in Europe.
“Among our regular customers – Azerbaijan, Hungary, Poland, Georgia, Moldova, Romania,” said Yurin.
In his opinion, now Ukraine will have to import more salt from abroad. The lack of salt due to the stop of the enterprise will also feel in Europe, since Hungary, Poland, Georgia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Romania are regular customers of Artyemsoli.
