OIS called for cessation of fire in Sudan for holiday of Kurban

Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIS) Hussein Ibrahim Taha called on conflicting parties in Sudan to terminate all acts of violence and conflicts for the period of the Holy Festival of Kurban-Bayram.

As the OII reported, Taha called for a comprehensive termination of clashes in Sudan for a holiday.

The General Secretary emphasized that the holiday for Muslims should abandon bloodshed and allow the humanitarian institutions to freely deliver assistance to the regions of Sudan.

In addition, he called on regional and international players who occupy an active position in the issue of resolving the conflict in Sudan, to maintain efforts to stop the fire.

Collisions between the army of Sudan and the rapid response forces (SBR), which lasted from April 15, again aggravated with the end of the three -day truce, which began on June 18.

During clashes in Sudan, which lasted the third month, about 1000 people died, about 5 thousand were injured.
