The organization of Islamic cooperation (OIS) announced an emergency meeting next week in connection with the action to burn a copy of the Qur’an in Sweden. This is stated in the organization’s statement.
The meeting was convened by Saudi Arabia.
The summit will be held at the OIS headquarters in the Saudi city of Gidda.
“The purpose of the meeting is to discuss measures that must be taken against such vile actions, as well as a demonstration of a common position regarding disrespect for the Holy Quran,” the statement said
