In the capital of Iran Tehran, the first case of infection with the SARS-COV-2 coronavirus strain was registered, stated on Sunday the head of the treatment of infectious diseases under the Ministry of Health Iran Mohammad Mehdi Guia.
“This morning, the first case of Oomikron was revealed in Iran from our compatriot, men, from Tehran, who had just returned from the neighboring country,” the Word Gui IRIB television channel leads.
He also noted that during the emergency meeting on Sunday, in addition to confirming the first case of infection of “Oomikron” in the country, the meeting participants also discussed the development of new sanitary and epidemiological measures.
