One border guard was killed and two were injured as a result of shelling of military personnel on the observation tower on the western border of Iran.
According to the Irana official agency, IRNA, border guards were attacked in the city of the Ban of the Kurdistan province in the west of the country bordering Iraq.
Deputy Chief of the Province of Kurdistan Lutfullla Darabi said that the attack was committed by hostile groups last night, and that information about the incident would be provided to the public later.
Iranian official said that two military personnel who were injured as a result of the attack are treated in the hospital.
