In the United States, one of the leaders in Japan’s organized criminal grouping of Yakuja Ebisava is arrested, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Southern District of New York.

According to the report, 57-year-old Yakuza tried to acquire air defense missiles stolen at the US military base in Afghanistan. Since 2019, he was in the field of virtue of the United States Anti-Drug Administration (DEA) and was arrested in New York at the beginning of the week. In addition to him, three Thailand citizens were detained in this case.

Reportedly, Ebisava planned as payment for weapons to import no less tons of drugs to implement them on the streets of New York and other cities.
