The ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, one of the richest women in the world, Mackenzie Scott, married a school teacher. The Wall Street Journal reports.
It is reported that the 50-year-old billionaire has decided to link her fortune with a science teacher from Seattle Lakeside Private School in Seattle, Dan Jewett. The wedding was not public.
The couple first mentioned their marriage publicly on Saturday, March 6, in a post on the Giving Pledge, a site where billionaires and millionaires vow to donate their fortunes to others.
In a posting on the Giving Pledge, Jewett stated that he was joining his wife’s “commitment to handing over an immense financial fortune to serve others.”
The publication notes that Bezos himself was delighted at the news of his ex-wife’s marriage and called Juett “a great guy”.
