Oppositional “Prosperous Armenia” proposed to abolish the martial law regime. During the meeting of the Commission on Defense and Security Issues, the draft law was presented by MP Arman Abovyan, Sputnik-Armenia reports.
“Martial law does not correspond to the situation in the country and is a big obstacle for all political processes,” Abovyan said.
He noted that the preservation of martial law pursues only political goals. In particular, this creates an obstacle to the resignation of the prime minister from a legal point of view.
