Over 20 people became victims of hurricane in south of Brazil

As a result of a tropical cyclone that fell into the southern states of Brazil, the states of Riu-Grandi-Do-Sul and Santa Catarin were killed at least 22 people.

According to the Governor of the state of Riu-Grandi-Do-Sul Eduardo Leita, a state of emergency has been declared in more than 20 cities of the region.

The head of the administration said that 15 thousand people were evacuated.

Hurricane caused floods and landslides, he added.

Leita called the scale of the natural disaster unprecedented.

According to the governor, natural disaster affected a total of 60 cities of the region.

It is noted that the search and rescue areas of the disaster zone are difficult due to strong winds and spilled rivers.
