Parliament of Kyrgyzstan could not discuss sending of military to Kazakhstan: deputies did not come

Deputies of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan (Zhogorku Kenesh) were not able to gather at the emergency meeting today.

Sputnik Kyrgyzstan reports that the Cabinet of Ministers initiated a parliament meeting so that the deputies agreed to send the Kyrgyz military as part of the CSTO forces to Kazakhstan.

It is reported that to begin work, a quorum is needed from 46 folk aligns (more than half of the deputy corps). The meeting was to start at 14:00, but by 15:00 only 39 parliamentarians passed the registration.

Parliament Chair stated that “many deputies in the regions in connection with the New Year holidays.”
