Passenger air transportation in world increased by 45.8% per year

The volume of passenger air transportation in the world in April of this year increased by 45.8 percent compared to the same month of 2022, reaching 90.5 percent of the dopandemic level. Such data are given by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

According to IATA, in April of this year, a high demand for international air transportation was preserved.

So, the passenger-kilometer indicator (RPK passenger turnover) increased by 45.8 percent in April compared to the same period last year.

Income from passenger turnover on international transportation in April increased by 48 percent, and on internal – by 42.6 percent.

At the same time, the Asia-Pacific region headed the Restoration of the air transportation.

The volume of air transportation in the Asia -Pacific region in April increased by 192.7 percent compared to the same period last year, and in Europe and the Middle East – by 22.6 percent and 38 percent, respectively. The growth of air transportation in North America amounted to 34.8 percent, Latin America- 25.8 percent and Africa- 53.5 percent.
