Pentagon: Ukrainian artillery breaks off offensive of Russia

“Ukrainian artillery is tearing off the Russian offensive in the Donbass. The Russian military is trying to unsuccessfully transport their troops across the North Donets River.” This was stated by a senior representative of the US Department of Defense, reports CNN.

According to him, in the area of Izum (Kharkov region) and Slavyansk (Donetsk region) there are tense battles. In this direction, the Russians failed to succeed. Russian troops managed to reach a little progress to the west from Popasnaya.

The US Ministry of Defense added that the vast majority of 89 howitzer artillery systems M777, transferred to Ukraine, are already at the front.
