Pfizer and Sanofi refused to sell Russia vaccines at old prices

State customers could not purchase vaccines from pneumococcus and the combined vaccine of Pfizer and Sanofi. Foreign giants and their Russian partners refused to participate in auctions, writes Kommersant.

According to information, the supply of vaccines to Russia became unprofitable due to currency fluctuations and the rise in price of logistics. According to Maxim Stetsyuk, Sanofi and Nanolek, Deputy Director General of the Russian Company (produces a French company vaccine at its enterprise in Russia), they ask the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) to revise the prices for the drug “Pentaxim”. This is a combined vaccine for the prevention of diphtheria, tetanus, polio and hemophilic infection.

The FAS publication reported that this application has not yet been received, however, a similar appeal was received by Prevenar – a vaccine from a pneumococcal infection from Pfizer (produced at the Petrovax enterprise).
