Pfizer will put almost 2 billion vaccines to Europe

Until the end of 2023, 1.8 billion doses of the COVID-19 production of Biontech-Pfizer will be delivered to EU countries. This was reported by the head of the European Commission of Ursula Von De Lyien on a briefing as part of a visit to the Pfizer plant in the Belgian city of Pürs.

“We completed signing in the coming days. This will provide us with the number of doses needed for vaccination and enhance immunity,” said Der Lyien, “Kommersant” quotes it.

It is the world’s largest order for a vaccine from COVID-19 and already the third, which the EU signs with Biontech-Pfizer. Within the framework of the previous two contracts, the EU receives 600 million doses. The new contract will provide the required number of doses for vaccination of 450 million European citizens within two years.
