The American Pharmaceutical Company Pfizer will suspend the planned investment in Russia, but at the same time will continue to supply medicines to the country, the company says in a press release, reports TASS.
“Voluntary suspension of our drugs to Russia will be a direct violation of our fundamental principle of patient priority. Termination of drug supplies, including for the treatment of cancer or cardiovascular diseases, will lead to a significant suffering of patients and potential deaths, especially among children and children and the elderly, “the message is noted.
At the same time, the company stated that the maintenance of supply does not mean that it will continue to conduct business in Russia as usual: “Although Pfizer does not own and does not manage any production sites in Russia, we will stop all planned investments with local providers intended for extension of production facilities in the country. “
Also in the statement noted that the drugs reversed from the sale in Russia will be directed to humanitarian assistance to citizens of Ukraine.
