The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran reflected the attack of pirates on the Iranian tanker in the Gulf of Aden. This was stated on Saturday on the air of the state television Iran Commander of the Navy Army of the country Amir Shahra Irani, reports TASS.
“Thanks to special purpose groups, we managed to reflect the attack of pirates on the Iranian tanker in the Gulf of Aden,” he said.
Military noted that five pirate boats took part in the attack. “Due to the open fire, these swimming facilities managed to drive at a considerable distance,” he added.
Irani pointed out that “the tanker left the dangerous area.”
