Poland asks for US interference in issue of supplies of Korean ammunition to Ukraine

The achievement of an agreement with South Korea on the provision of artillery shells is possible only in case of US intervention. This was announced in an interview with New York Times by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Moravetsky, who arrived in the United States on a visit.

According to him, the Russian army has a large arsenal of artillery shells than Ukraine, and applies them more actively.

“We talked with South Korea about the supply of weapons and ammunition, but I do not think that this will become possible without the intervention of the United States. South Korea is afraid of the reaction of Russia and China,” Moravesky said.

The Polish Prime Minister noted that Warsaw bought a lot of weapons in South Korea, but will never give it without coordination with Seoul.

“Western Europe can send more weapons and take more active steps to support Ukraine,” Moravesky emphasized.
