The Poland State Oil and Gas Company PGNIG filed a new lawsuit against PJSC Gazprom and Gazprom Export LLC, the company reports.
PGNIG requires paying interest on $ 1.5 billion for deliveries in 2014-2020.
It is noted that on March 31, 2022, the company sent Gazprom a request for arbitration trial at its request for the payment of interest on overpayment for gas. Now PGNIG is waiting for Gazprom’s answer. In 2020, the Stockholm arbitration after the appeal PGNIG decided to adjust the formula for calculating gas prices from Gazprom. The new formula is directly related to gas prices in the Western European market. However, at the end of 2020, prices on the hubs began to rise sharply, so the court decision of the index played in favor of Gazprom.
