Poland refuses Russian oil and passes to Saudi

The main competitor of Moscow in the face of Er-Riyadh, which was previously focused on clients in Asia, begins to push out Russian suppliers from Poland against the background of increasing tensions in the relations of the two countries, writes Finanz.

January 12, the State Oil Company of the Kingdom of Saudi Aramco signed a long-term contract for the supply of Polish PKN Orlen to 337 thousand barrels per day, reports Bloomberg.

Saudi deliveries that tankers will be delivered to the ports of the Baltic Sea, grow more than three times and cover almost half of oil consumption in Poland, which is 650-700 thousand barrels per day.

Poland Saudi oil can get into neighboring countries, including Lithuania and the Czech Republic, where Orlen owns processing factories.
