Political leaders who escaped from Afghanistan met in Turkey

Several Afghan politicians who left Afghanistan after coming to power of the Taliban held in Turkey, reports Tolonews TV channel with reference to Ihsan Niro, press secretary of the Junbish-E Milli party (The National Islamic Movement of Afghanistan), which heads ex-vice-president, Marshal Abdul Rashid Dustum.

“Marshal Dustum accepted political and influential leaders. The meeting was held to exchange opinions on how to change the situation in Afghanistan,” said Niro.

According to information, the meeting was attended by the leader of the “People’s Party of Islamic Unity of Afghanistan” Hadji-Mohammad Mohakik, ex-Vice-President Ahmad Ziya Masud, former speaker of the Mir Rakhman Rakhmani, ex-minister Abdul-Hadi Argandil, and Also, representatives of the Hezb-i-Vahdat leader Mohammad-Karim Kalili and former foreign minister Salahuddin Rabbani.

It is noted that this meeting was the first to conduct Afghan politicians who left Afghanistan. Some of them, for example, Dustum and Mohakik, at one time headed armed groups that fought against the Taliban.
