Pope confessed to love for Russia

Pope Francis at a press conference on board the aircraft upon returning from the kingdom Bahrain said that he refers “with great respect” to the Russian people who loves, the ANSA agency.

“I really appreciate the Russian people and Russian humanism. Remember Dostoevsky, who to this day inspires us, Christians. I feel sincere sympathy for the Russian people and the Ukrainian people, I am among the two peoples that I love,” said pontiff.

Speaking about the conflict in Ukraine, the pontiff said that he does not believe in the cruelty of the Russian people, because “the Russian people are a great people.”
