Portraits of Ottoman Sultans will be sold at auction

In the British Auction House of Christie’s, I will put up for sale 6 portraits of Ottoman Sultans and Princes, reports Haberturk.

In auction called “works of art of the Islamic world and India”, which will be held on October 28 in London, portraits of Orhans Gazi, Bayazid I, Isa Cheleby, Mehmed I, Selim I and Selim II will be put onto the lot. In addition, the auction participants can purchase Turkish carpets of Mehmed IV, Caaba Stone Coating in Mecca, Manuscripts and Painting.

Holiday expert Christie’s Bechnaz Atiy Mogadam noted that portraits may belong to the brushes of the Italian artist Paolo Veronese, and initially 14 had them, but only 6 copies reached our days.

It is expected that each picture will leave the hammer for 800 thousand – 1.2 million pounds.
