President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev pardoned 334 prisoners who have repented and embarked on the path of correction.
In connection with the 31st anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mirziyoyev, he signed a decree “On the pardon of a group of persons serving a sentence of a sentence who sincerely repented in a deed and firmly embarked on the path of correction”.
“34 persons are completely exempted from serving the main sentence from the pardoned, 249 persons were released from serving a sentence on parole, the sentence was replaced by softer to 6 persons. In addition, the sentences in the form of imprisonment assigned to regard to 45 persons of pardoned – 18 citizens of foreign states, 23 women, 15 men over 60 years old, 88 people who participated in the activities of prohibited organizations, ”the press service of the head of state said.
As part of the implementation of the decree, the state bodies are instructed to return the pardoned to the family and relatives, to facilitate them in social adaptation, to attract to useful work and a healthy lifestyle, to help take a place in society.
