The opening of the interconnector between Greece and Bulgaria was an important milestone, said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the 9th ministerial meeting as part of the advisory council on the southern gas corridor and the 1st ministerial meeting as part of the Council of Green Energy.
“Another important milestone was the opening of the interconnector between Greece and Bulgaria, which, of course, was created as part of the Southern Gas Corridor project and is to a certain extent its continuation,” said the head of state.
He emphasized that this allowed to start the supply of natural gas to Bulgaria, as well as (at the expense of this line), to neighboring countries.
