The Israeli Aviakosmic Industry Corporation introduced a family of new radio electronic struggle systems called “Scorpius”, which are capable of scanning the territory or airspace by narrow-controlled rays, to detect enemy threats, whether drones, ships, radio-controlled rockets or enemy radar systems.
The Israeli Ninth Canal writes that after the threat of “Scorpius” is detected, it launches a system of wide radio electronic suppression, which, according to developers, effectively violates control systems, communications, navigation and data transmission in this area.
Scorpius feature is its ability to detect and eliminate several threats of various kinds at much long distances than now. This is achieved due to the unprecedented sensitivity of the receiving sensors of the complex and the power of the gating signal.
Another advantage of the innovative Israeli system is its adaptability to various conditions and environments.
The new family of RES system has five modifications: ground (with an index G), marine (N) and air (s). The latter can work in two modes – the “muffler” mode and in the “self-defense” mode. The fifth modification with the index T is intended for training and training.
The capabilities of the Scorpius system meet the most relevant challenges. Israeli experts consider this development of a revolutionary in the field of electronic struggle, since their US colleagues are only at the stage of developing similar modules. Scorpius has recently been sold to three foreign customers, a great interest in it also exhibit IDF Air Force.
