Famous Azerbaijani historian dies of coronavirus Historian scientist Dilaver Azimli has died of coronavirus. This was reported at the A. Bakikhanov Institute of History of ANAS.
The message says that the leading researcher of the department “Medieval history of Azerbaijan”, Ph.D. in history Dilaver Azimli died this morning. D. Azimli was hospitalized on January 4th.
Dilaver Mirzakishi oglu Azimli was born on December 5, 1959 in the village of Agdash, Jalilabad region.
In 1987-1992, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of History of Baku State University.
Since 2003, he worked at the Department of Medieval History of Azerbaijan at the Institute of History named after A.A. Bakikhanov of ANAS, at the same time taught at the department “Turkish and Eastern European peoples” of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University.
