The Main Directorate for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General conducted operational-search measures on the basis of an appeal received about an official who appropriated the money of a citizen under the pretext of removing photographs about personal life from Internet resources.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the operational-search measures established thorough suspicions that the founder of Patrul.az LLC and the news of the same name Samandar Nifaliev, in advance with his acquaintance Hamza Huseynli, made false promises about that that video frames about the personal life of a citizen will be removed from the pages of the media and social networks so that they do not spread among the wide mass of users, and this way is assigned 2800 manat.
Based on the collected materials, a criminal case was opened under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan, Samandar Nifaliev and Hamze Huseynli was charged under Art. 178.2.1 of this Code and a court decision, a preventive measure in the form of house arrest was chosen in their respect.
