Putin agreed to attract UN to evacuate civilians from Azovstal

The office of the UN Secretary General claims that Putin agreed to attract the UN and the Red Cross to the evacuation of civilians from Azovstali, Russian media reports.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that they are ready to consider specific initiatives, including from the UN, to facilitate the suffering of the civilian population in the zone of the “special military operation” of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.

At the same time, the initiatives should “actually contribute to this noble goal,” the department emphasized.

Earlier, Putin, in a conversation with Antoniu Gutherrish, suggested the UN and the red cross to see how Ukrainian prisoners of war are contained.
