Putin allows a meeting with Zelensky

Moscow began to soften its position on the likely negotiations of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, writes CNN Türk with reference to its sources.

As Russian sources of the publication said, Vladimir Putin on August 5, at a meeting with Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, hinted that he could meet with the Ukrainian leader.

“Leaders can discuss and determine the roadmap. Then the delegations can start work to implement this roadmap,” the sources of the publication said.

Previously, the Russian side denied the possibility of meeting the presidents of Russia and Ukraine. It was argued that first, diplomats should meet and develop a roadmap in Ukraine. However, now in Moscow it was allowed to discuss it directly at the meeting of two chapters of state.
