Putin and Erdogan are preparing to discuss fighting between Azerbaijan and Armenia

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will discuss the escalation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). This was reported by Reuters with reference to a senior Turkish official.

The meeting of Erdogan and Putin in Uzbekistan should take place on Friday.

“This issue will be discussed with Putin, because the role of the Russian Federation and Turkey in the cessation of this war is obvious,” the official said on the terms of anonymity.

He added that Turkey has already begun to work on solving the problem.

“This should stop before the scale of the war is growing,” the official said.
