Putin signed law on an increase in draft age up to 30 years

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that establishes that citizens aged 18 to 30 years will be subject to military service.

The document is published on the official portal of legal information.

According to new norms, the upper limit of the draft age in the Russian Federation rises by three years – from 27 to 30 years.

The lower boundary remains unchanged.

The law comes into force on January 1, 2024.
