The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine announced the support of Japan on the issue of the Kuril Islands, which are now recognized in Ukraine “occupied” Russia. This was reported on the website of the parliament.
People’s Deputies supported the decision on the “Appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the international community relative to the northern territories of Japan” at number 8108. 287 people’s deputies voted for the adoption of the decision.
The Ukrainian parliament expresses the support of the position of Japan in relation to the northern territories, and also admits that they are under the “Russian occupation”.
