Rallies are held in Tbilisi and Kutaisi

Thousands of people spend rallies in Tbilisi and Kutaisi demanding a decline in fuel prices, MTAIA architecture reports.

Fuel prices in Georgia began to grow from the fall of last year, however, sharp jumps are fixed in February-March of the current. In particular, gasoline 92 over the month increased by almost 12%, its cost per liter reaches more than $ 1.7 dollars, and the cost of liter of gasoline 95 reached a historic minimum – almost 4 Lari (1.25 dollars). The main factor in price increases is the foundation in the international market and exchange rate.

Members of the rally believe that by reducing the tax on excise tax, it is possible to reduce the prices of fuel. They wish to meet with the representatives of the leadership and provide them with their own plan.

The action in Tbilisi began processing on Rustaveli Avenue and stopped on the square in front of the parliament. A similar rally is held in the center of Kutaisi.
