Ruling party of Turkey nominated Erdogan as a candidate for presidential election

The ruling party of justice and development (PSR) nominated on Saturday of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as a candidate from a national alliance in the presidential election, which will be held in the summer of 2023. This was stated by the press secretary of the Omer Chelik party following the results of the party congress, TASS reports.

“Our President Tayyip Erdogan will be a candidate from a folk alliance. We finally decided on this topic,” he said.

Presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey are scheduled for June 2023.
