Russia and Belarus continue to increase the regional grouping of troops, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus said.
The department indicated that new forces and military equipment from Russia arrive in Belarus.
“Today, based on the current situation, this process goes in stages,” the Ministry of Defense noted.
With arriving Russian military at Belarusian training grounds, combat coordination is organized.
“In addition, in order to increase the level of combat training of the aviation units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, which are part of the Aviation component of the RGV (C), it is planned to conduct a joint flight -tactical teaching,” the department said. On October 10, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced that he had agreed with Russian colleague Vladimir Putin to deploy a joint group of troops in the country.
In Minsk and Moscow, they stated that the deployment of joint strength is exclusively defensive in nature.
