Russia reached the second place in the supply of natural gas to China – in August they reached 2.4 billion cubic meters. Since the beginning of this year, the largest gas supplier to China has been Turkmenistan since the beginning of this year, Russian media reported with reference to Chinese customs.
Russia managed to overtook Australia (2.3 billion cubic meters). We are talking about a set of gas supplies: by pipelines and liquefied form. At the same time, LNG accounted for more than 1 billion cubic meters, which became a historical record.
In general, in August, China purchased 13.196 billion cubic meters of gas: 5.528 billion cubic meters – by pipelines and 7.668 billion cubic meters (5.897 million tons) – in the form of LNG.
