Russia excluded withdrawal of troops to start negotiations with Ukraine

Despite the desire to return to negotiations, it does not intend to withdraw troops from the occupied territories. This was confirmed by the deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Grushko, Russian media write.

“Such conditions are unacceptable. Our president has repeatedly said that we are ready for negotiations, but these negotiations, of course, should take into account the situation on Earth,” he told reporters.

Recall, the withdrawal of troops is the main condition of Kyiv for returning to diplomacy. Last week, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky called five conditions for returning to negotiations.

“Once again: the restoration of territorial integrity, respect for the UN Charter, reimbursing all the losses inflicted by the war, the punishment of each war criminal and the guarantee that this will not happen again,” the Ukrainian president listed.
