A famous Russian journalist and TV presenter Leonid Parfenov threatens a criminal case of refusing to notify the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs about the presence of a second citizenship, Russian media reports.
As noted, Parfenov in 2017 received Israeli citizenship, however, according to preliminary data, he did not notify the Ministry of Internal Affairs about this, as required by the law. Currently, this fact is being verified.
If this information is confirmed, then a criminal case under Art. 330.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (non -fulfillment of the obligation to submit notification of the presence of a citizen of the Russian Federation of a foreign state).
