Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Ryabkov said that if NATO and the United States will not give guarantees for not posting new weapons in Europe, then Russia is ready to give a response to this with the help of weapons or technical means, RIA Novosti reports.
According to Ryabkov, Russia fears in Europe’s arms, prohibited by the contract on the elimination of rockets of medium and less distance (DRSMD).
“That is, it will be confrontation, it will be the next round, it will be the appearance of such funds from our side. Now they are not, we have a one-way moratorium, we call for this moratorium to join NATO and the USA,” he said, adding that the United States and NATO do not respond to Russian sentences.
