Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and Forced Migrants Rzrovan Rzayev met with specialists of a team of joint conflict conflict analysis and stability of the UK Ryan Griste and Helen Cryer-Alis McCenzie.
Guests were provided with detailed information about the causes of the problem of refugees and forced displaced persons in Azerbaijan, state policy, held in the direction of solving this problem, as well as on the activities of the Committee.
It was noted that President Ilham Aliyev pays special attention to the organization of social protection of internally displaced persons, improving living conditions, enhancing employment, and the initiatives of the first vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva in this area are of great importance. It was noted that in the territories occupied by Armenia for almost thirty years, the territories liberated last year as a result of a 44-day war, the Azerbaijani state began large-scale restoration work, preparations for the return of forced displaced persons to their historical lands.
Thanks to gratitude was noted support for the UK in ensuring the safety and demination of liberated territories, which serves to further strengthen the relationship between countries based on mutual trust.
British analyst Ryan Griste expressed satisfaction with a visit to Azerbaijan, having highly appreciated the completion of the conflict, holding restoration and construction work on the liberated territories. Answers were answered about guests about the purposes set in the post-conflict period, about peaceful coexistence in the former conflict zone. The possibilities of cooperation in this sphere were also raised, an exchange of views took place, other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
