Saakashvili required an operation

The former President of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili, said that the doctors had established a spinal injury that requires surgical intervention. The corresponding letter of the ex-president was read out by the deputy of the Georgian Parliament from the Opposition Party “The Unified National Movement” Ekaterina Herheulidze, TASS reports.

“Since many are speculated on my health, I decided to openly declare what I feel. Through the MRI, I was installed on the spine, which I received with a greater degree of probability during the force transfer in the Gltsa (prison hospital on the outskirts Tbilisi – Ed). As I understand it, this injury requires surgical intervention, ”Herheulidze read a letter after a meeting with Saakashvili in the hospital.

He noted in a letter that he feels severe pain in the back, which is why he is doing painkillers several times a day. He has frequent dizziness and tremor. It is more difficult for him to move the limbs, and especially with his left hand. According to him, he mainly observes bed rest. Also, the ex-president still insists that he needs treatment abroad without participating in political processes.
