As previously, the chairman of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, led by Sahibar, Gafarov Parliamentary delegation, is in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan with a worker and official visit.
In the department of public relations and press, Milli Maqqin.az reported that today the Chairman of the Milli Majlis took part in the meeting of the Executive Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Economic Cooperation (Pa OES) in Islamabad, during which there was an exchange of views on the agenda items Day of the second universal conference PA OES.
Sahib Gafarov spoke at the meeting. She expressed his attitude towards the agenda item, shared his thoughts on the role of women in the Islamic world, noted the importance of further strengthening of this role in the light of the widespread spread of Islamophobia in the world, highly appreciated the upcoming meeting of female parliamentarians.
The Chairman of Milli Majlis said that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the development of relations with authoritative international structures, including the organization of economic cooperation. She also recalled the recent ratification of the Milli Majlis of the Charter of the Parliamentary Assembly of the OEC, adding that the deepening of multifaceted cooperation between the participating States is the requirement of time.
The meeting was attended by heads of delegations who arrived at the second Universal Conference Pa OES.
