Sberbank stopped all currency transfers abroad

Sberbank from April 7 stopped all translations abroad in foreign currency. The prohibition extends to transfers in the bank branches and in the mobile application “Sberbank online”, a representative of the credit institution reported RBC.

According to the representative of the Organization, such a decision was made in connection with the entry into force of sanctification for currency transactions with correspondent accounts in foreign banks. “Translations decorated from April 6 will be returned to the client’s account in full, together with the Commission. Translations abroad in the bank’s branches in rubles are available for residents in normal mode without restrictions,” the representative of the credit institution added.

At the same time, it remains the opportunity to make ruble transfers by phone number through a mobile application to neighboring countries: Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, as well as in Transnistria.
